Ever since Bill O’Reilly’s surprising sudden departure from Fox News, people have been speculating who O’Reilly’s next employer would be. It’s obvious that it would not be difficult for O’Reilly to find a job, given the fact that he was Fox News’s single most popular host for well over a decade.
By all accounts, O’Reilly has been keeping a lower profile since his ouster, and has been keeping busy working on his own book and other media projects. However, O’Reilly was just given a job offer that could prove to be too good to pass up, if O’Reilly truly wants to stick it to the executives at Fox News who fired him.
Like O’Reilly, Glenn Beck was once and extremely popular figure on Fox News until he left, on his own accord, in 2011. He started his own media company The Blaze which, although troubled financially at times, has grown into a solid challenger to Fox News in the conservative media landscape.
When Glenn Beck recently hosted O’Reilly on his program, he stated that O’Reilly should come join him as a host on The Blaze. Stated Beck To Bill, “We could unite our powers for good as opposed to evil.” Unfortunately, The Blaze of course does not have nearly the same deep pockets as 20th Century Fox, and Beck certainly could not afford to match O’Reilly’s former $20 million annual salary. Joked Glenn, “I’ll pay you in sandwiches like you can’t believe.”
