On Wednesday, Susan Rice, the previous National Security consultant beneath President Obama declined an invitation from senator Lindsey Graham to participate during a hearing on Russian interference within the election.
The following letter was obtained by CNN from Susan Rice’s attorney and descriptions Rice’s reasons for not showing up. The letter was addressed to subunit.
“Rice thought of the invite a “diversionary play” to distract attention from the investigation into Russian election interference, as well as contacts between Trump allies and Russians during the campaign, the source said.”
“Graham first told CNN before the letter was sent that he had invited Rice before the Senate panel to work out whether or not the Obama administration “tried to modify intelligence” — a part of his broader investigation into Russian meddling within the 2016 US elections.”
This means that Susan Rice is selecting to not go before Congress. She acted improperly and used her position to spy on the Trump administration.
